Our Model For Missions

In all our missions and outreaches, our trajectory is straightforward: Spend time to build relationships, and build relationships to have credibility. Develop credibility so you can speak truth with power. Speak truth with power to effect positive change, and teach people to love and know God and to take action. (Daniel 11:32b)

Our Mission Field

Awake Church believes we are to be a sending and deploying fellowship. We actively cultivate a culture of sending, planting, starting, initiating, and releasing envoys to the four corners of the world through various means until Jesus returns.

“But you will receive power and ability when the Holy Spirit comes upon you; and you will be My witnesses [to tell people about Me] both in Jerusalem and in all Judea, and Samaria, and even to the ends of the earth.” 

Acts 1:8 AMP

The ultimate goal, over time, is to have one outing or trip, per quarter for each of these sectors: 

1. Local / Hometown

2. Regional / Own Culture

3. National / Nearby Culture

4. International / Jesus not known

“And I said, ‘What shall I do, Lord?’ And the Lord said to me, ‘Get up and go on into Damascus, and there you will be told of all that has been appointed for you to do.’ ”

Acts 22: 10-11

Just like Paul, every believer has a mission and purpose to fulfill (2 Peter 1:10), and the local church is the launching pad from which we are envisioned, equipped, and deployed to fulfill the purposes of God (Eph. 4:11-13, Acts 11:22).

Our Practice of Missions

Our practice is to empower God’s people to fulfill His plan by partnering with Him in going, sharing, and reaching people around the world with the Gospel of the Kingdom and the love of God.

We are excited to announce that we’ll be taking a team to the Dominican Republic in June of 2024.
